The scientific interest of our group lies at the interface of supramolecular chemistry, polymer chemistry, and materials science. Particularly, we will devote to the design and synthesis of novel well-defined molecular nanotubes which possess intriguing molecular recognition ability, self-assembly behavior and chiroptical property, and further explore their potentials in mass-transport related applications. Also, we are interested in the development of new mechanically-interlocked polymers (MIPs) related functional materials, including the precise synthesis of MIPs with defined molecular weight, topology and sequence, and the fabrication of new smart topological crosslinked polymer materials.
